Gablemarine is the trading name of GableCom Ltd a UK company established in 1999 to provide consulting services to industry.

Gablemarine founder, Rowland Smith, a Naval Architect, has over 20 years experience in commercial and marine consultancy and is a past Director of CEproof International Ltd the leading provider of RCD compliance systems to the marine industry.

Rowland, like many of our Clients is a keen sailor and racer both in fast dinghies and since 2001, as the co-owner/skipper of the 1952 Arthur Robb designed Lion class yacht 'Leonie', here seen competing in the round the island race during the British Classic Yacht Club regatta at Cowes, IOW. 

Whilst the CE Marking service remains at its core, the scope of Gablemarine activities now extends to include a full range of boat search, boat import and boat shipping services.  Unlike some, we don't just concentrate on the easier Sports Boats, but can provide a CE marking service for all sizes and types of sailing and powered craft, as well as undertake noise testing and the preparation of structural and stability data, both for bulders and importers (PCA) alike.

We are pleased to be able to offer local support in the US and most EU countries, through a network of partners and affiliates.

We are happy to undertake special projects (such as Alpha Z, see our dedicated AlphaZ 33 project page for more details) providing project management as well as technical skills.

As with all our work, attention to detail, accurate representation, mutual trust and value, form the basis of our approach. 

Info Centre

We're happy to give advice and assistance but we like to know who we're helping.  For this reason, whilst the main site provides details of our services and listings, we've moved much of the knowledge content to our new Info Centre.  To access the Infor Centre you need to register.  This is both easy and free (click the register link in the top right corner of your screen).  When you apply, we get a notification to approve your application and make sure you're in the right role area.  Some content is available to all registered users whilst other content is role specific.   We currently support four roles:

• Private Vendor - Private individuals looking to find buyers for their craft
• Private Importer - Private individuals looking to source an imported craft
• Trade Vendor - Individuals or companies with craft to sell or trade, likely to help source craft for our BoatSource service
• Trade Importer - Individuals or companies looking to purchase/import several craft on a commercial basis

Over time we'll continue to build up this resource, providing facilities to download information as well as trialing new services and applications.  We hope you approve.
