Standard Import Packages

Our end-to-end import services includes a number of products and service elements, which collectively are referred to as the Standard Import Packages

Bronze Import Package

This includes:

  • Pickup on closing and transport to embarkation Port.
  • CE Certification (for European import, if appropriate
  • Shrink Wrapping prior to shipping
  • Supply of shipping cradle (as appropriate)
  • Payment of US Port charges
  • Shipping from US embarkation Port to specified international delivery Port
  • Arrangement and processing of taxes (eg VAT) and import duties
  • Arrangement and processing of Delivery Port charges
  • Release of craft at Delivery Port

Silver Import Package

This includes those elements in the Bronze package plus:

  • Verification of Title (boat and trailer), Bill of Sale etc.
  • Storage (Jacksonville or Baltimore)
  • Detailing/Valet of Boat (Jacksonville only)
  • Transport to Embarkation Port (if from storage)
  • De-registration of craft in USA (US Coast Guard) if required

Gold Import Package

This package is provided in conjunction with Nordic Yacht Works (NYW), licensed Florida Brokers based in Lantana, FL (Zip 33432) and includes those elements in the Bronze package plus:

Pre-purchase (NYW)

  • Verification of Title (boat and trailer), Bill of Sale etc.
  • Boat inspection and engine/drive checks (compression, engine hours, fault codes from ECU)
  • Pre-purchase inventory assessment and documentation
  • Sea trial & surveys (as required)
  • Purchase support including sales agreements and ESCROW facility
  • De-registration of craft in USA (US Coast Guard) if required
  • Pickup and transfer to Lantana Yard

Pre-shipping (Yard services, NYW)

  • Storage
  • Systems check
  • Repairs & Maintenance (in consultation with buyer)
  • Sourcing and (re)fitting of parts/upgrades
  • Detailing (valet)
  • Winterization (if appropriate)
  • Canvas and cover (re)work
  • Engine servicing
  • Bottom painting
  • Delivery to Embarkation Port

Fees excluded from the scope of the Standard Import Packages

A number of discretionary fees may be incurred during the buying process which are excluded from the Standard Import Package and will be passed on to the buyer.

  • Pre-purchase inventory assessment and documentation (except Gold)
  • Fees for Inspection, survey, engine/drive checks or sea trial (except Gold)
  • Fees for lifts or other marina charges incurred during inspections, trials or other pre-purchase assessments
  • Charges incurred obtaining Title documents for craft subject to existing loans/liens
  • Variations in Euro / USD prices due to exchange rate movement - The offer price will be confirmed at an agreed exchange rate with the buyer liable for/benefiting from any subsequent changes
  • Repairs, modifications or rework unless specifically agreed in writing and included in the purchase agreement
  • Sea and Land Insurance (though this can be arranged)
  • Preparation for and application of bottom paint, if none present
  • Road transport from the specified delivery Port
