Gablemarine offers three key services:

CE Marking & Noise testing
Import / Export
Rectification of standard non-conformities & conversion of AC electrics (120v to 230v AC)

CE Marking remains our core business, undertaken worldwide, but most commonly on the Eastern US seaboard from bases supporting Jacksonville (FL) and Baltimore (MD) as embarkation Ports. As we are nominally UK based we are also well placed to undertake CE work anywhere in Europe.

Our approach is simple. If importing a single boat we charge our standard retail rate. If you import several boats (either private or trade) then discounts may be available. If we CE a boat, then all import/export services arranged and managed by us are on a cost plus basis. If CE is not required then we add a slightly higher management fee.

If you want us to address non-conformities and/or AC conversion as well as CE then we offer package prices, but only if the boats transit through the UK (at present), or by special arrangement.

We can arrange onward delivery anywhere in Europe.

If you haven't yet found a boat we are happy to provide advice and especially guidance on compliance with the RCD. If you want help buying a boat we are pleased to recommend trusted partners but cannot be involved in the purchase transaction (if we are later to undertake CE inpection).

As a 'private buyer' with little knowledge of importing a boat from the US to Europe, Gable Marine helped me through all the technical aspects and legal jargon.
