Florida Yard Services

Gablemarine has partnered with Florida based Nordic Yacht Works (NYW) to provide a full range of transport and yard services for international clients.  Based in Lantana, FL, (33462) Nordic Yacht Works operate at the yard and slip run by Murrelle Marine and have extensive workshop and secure storage capacity.

NYW, owned and run by Miikka Laine (a Finn) and his wife June,  is our chosen partner to offer all Florida based services post-closing, from pickup to delivery at the US embarkation port prior to international shipping.  In addition, NYW are equipped to undertake pre-purchase inspections, sea trial and engine checks, including software based verification of engine hours.

For international importers Gablemarine offers a fixed price import package which includes a range of standard services provided by Gablemarine/NYW along with those required after embarkation.  This allows buyers to determine the 'landed' price at their chosen international port.

Gablemarine and NYW can offer additional services as required.  Where these involve works to the craft these are normally undertaken in the US prior to shipping.  There are several reasons for this: spares are easier to source, imperial sized fastenings are easier to source, expertise and space is available and both labour rates and the weather tend to be more favourable.  Where possible, these works on agreed on a fixed cost basis so that we ensure the project stays on time and on budget.
